Hello there,
i'm new to the forum and my first thread is about places to buy CPUs for notebooks.
I own a Gateway P-6860x and I feel the urgent need to replace its CPU since everybody knows it's the weakest point of it. The problem is that I do not know where to purchase CPUs aside from eBay.
Right now i'm looking specifically for the x9000 or the x7800.
Any ideas?
Thanksssss

It already has a Core2 Duo @1.83ghz and 4gig ram the prob you might have by putting in a faster cpu is cooling the cpu as you will need a better heatsink prob, and not sure if you will be able to keep a hight clock speed on the stock cooler as they get hot as standard so if you went to a 2.6 it might get to hot.
Just a thought
